PALANCAR REEF

It is probably the most famous reef on the island.
Known all over the world for the spectaculares sponges and coral formations.

Considered Cozumel’s pearl thanks to the beautiful corals where we can find green morays, big groupers, lobsters, and barracudas.

The formations here reach incredible sizes. Not rare are the encounters with sea turtles, eagle rays, and reef sharks.


SANTA ROSA

Caves and tunnels that go from one side of the wall to the other one, offers beautiful light’s games to the divers.


PARAISO

This is not a wall, but a shallow dive with incredible formations where huge lobsters, eels and the endemic toadfish live.

Cozumel

For who is staying in Akumal , visiting at least one day the protected environment of the island of Cozumel, the largest marine park in the Caribbean is mandatory.
The currents running along the coasts of the island created the ideal conditions for many species.
Very healthy reefs, filled with life, a barrel sponge , a tubular sponge paradise, thousands colored and splendid corals.

The island is reachable by ferry from Playa del Carmen to San Miguel , the island’s most important town. The visibility , underwater in Cozumel is the best we can find in all the Caribbean, average between 30 and 60 mt ( 90 to 180 ft ).the currents will allow us drifting without moving our fins, just enjoying the underwater “ seascape” The many dive sites are all amazing and with different characteristics.
